Galopin Des Champs is a hot favourite for the Cheltenham Gold Cup, as he looks to bounce back from a fall in last season's Turners Novices' Chase. The Willie Mullins-trained superstar showed his class when winning the John Durkan earlier in the season and he looks the one to beat in the 2023 Cheltenham Gold Cup. He has proven he stays three miles at Leopardstown in the Irish Gold Cup and although the big race at Cheltenham will be even more of a stamina test, his finishing effort will have vastly encouraged his backers. Stablemate Stattler showed when winning the National Hunt Chase last season that he has bundles of stamina and he ran a cracker in the Irish Gold Cup to warm up for this event and is of notable interest.
Last year's Grand National winner Noble Yeats has continued his progression this season and is a prominent figure, but he was beaten by Ahoy Senor in the Cotswold Chase at Cheltenham, while King George VI Chase winner Bravemansgame looks like another star performer. Reigning champion A Plus Tard and former winner Minella Indo add significant depth to what should be an epic renewal in what is a red-hot betting heat on the final day of the Cheltenham Festival.
