Horse Racing Tips: Baddesley to strike at Plumpton for Gordon
There's an early start to racing now the clocks have gone back and Monday's racing kicks off at Hereford at 12:20, while there's alternative UK racing at Plumpton, Kempton and Wolverhampton. We are treated to two fixtures across the Irish Sea with Wexford and Galway hosting racing today, and we preview all the action here and pick out some of the most eye-catching best bets from our racing naps table here...

Chris Gordon's Lord Baddesley made a promising return in the Silver Trophy Handicap Hurdle at Chepstow last time out, and the smart seven-year-old will attempt to build on that effort this afternoon when he heads to Plumpton for the 14:20 contest. A red-hot 6/4 favourite at the time of writing, Gordon's charge has proven extremely popular with our racing tipsters as three of them have napped him for today's event. Both Paul Kealy from The Weekender and Jon Freeman from The i have both napped Lord Baddesley who looks tough to beat, if he's able to kick on from that promising run last time out.
One other horse running on Monday has been napped three times and the horse in question is the William Haggas-trained Candleford, who lines up in the 16:13 at Kempton and is currently a 6/4 market leader to land that prize. The Royal Ascot winner has failed to kick on from that momentous victory back in June, but he shaped with promise in Group 3 company last time out when third at Ascot, and dropping back to Listed level today he can storm to victory in style. The Brigadier is one of three tipsters napping Candleford and that tipster has notched up two winning naps on the bounce, and will fancy landing the hat-trick today.
There's a superb Listed event at Wexford at 15:15 today and it will see the Grand National winner Noble Yeats take his chance, as he looks to bounce back from a disappointing run at Auteuil last time out, but the favourite is Run Wild Fred, who was second to Galvin in Grade 3 company last time out, and the Gordon Elliott-trained raider is the best bet of Moorestyle from the Daily Star Sunday in what is a fascinating contest.
Lord Baddesley
Karl Hedley from The Irish Post is the most in-form tipster at the moment having notched up three winning selections on the bounce, and he will take on the abovementioned Lord Baddesley in the 14:20 race at Plumpton and is backing the 5/1 chance Light N Strike, who lines up for Emma Lavelle and looks a leading contender.
The Guardian tipster bagged back-to-back winning naps over the weekend and will be looking to make it three on the spin today and heads to Hereford's 14:00 contest for the best bet of the day. Siding with the 11/4 chance Princess T for Neil Mulholland, The Guadian tipster will be hoping the seven-year-old mare can improve on a second placed finish at Fontwell Park last time out.
Current naps table leader Andrew Bladen from the Wolverhampton Express & Star (£21.21 profit) heads to Kempton's all-weather fixture today and is backing the 4/1 shot Nao Da Mais, who runs in the 16:45 race, while the second placed tipster Whistler from the Sunday Telegraph (£20.75) will attempt to soar to the top of the naps table, and that tipster looks to Plumpton for the best bet. Whistler has backed the 5/1 Gary Moore-trained Fascinating Lips, who is a leading player in the 13:15 race and the Canford Cliffs gelding will be looking to build on a debut success over hurdles and looks an eye-catching runner on a busy day's racing.
