Horse Racing Tips: Check out Saturday's best racing tips here
Punters are treated to seven horse racing fixtures on Saturday as the action all kicks off at the Curragh at 13:20. There's alternative afternoon racing at Beverley, Newmarket, Goodwood and Cartmel, while the later fixtures come from Windsor and Redcar, as we are set for a busy day in the UK & Ireland. Here at HorseRacing.net we will try and point you in the right direction of a few winners and pick out some of the most eye-catching naps from our host of racing tipsters...
One of the feature races of the day is the hugely competitive Beverley Bullet, which will take place at Beverley at 14:40 and Rory Delargy from The Irish Field is bidding for a third winning nap on the bounce and is backing the 8/1 chance Ainsdale for that event. Fourth last time out in the Group 3 Chipchase Stakes the five-year-old will drop back to Listed company today and looks to be one of the leading contenders in a wide open renewal of the 5f sprint.
Arguably, the one to beat in the Bullet, though, is Clive Cox's Tis Marvellous, who broke the track record en route to victory in the race 12 months ago, and he will look to emulate Take Cover by winning back-to-back renewals of the event, and the 3/1 favourite has been napped by three of our tipsters on Saturday. Jon Freeman from The i and Robin Goodfellow from the Daily Mail are two of that trio that fancy the Cox charge to storm to victory once again.
Goodwood has proven a popular destination for our tipsters on Saturday and the Andrew Balding-trained Secret Shadow is a 9/4 chance for the 17:20 contest and has proven to be one of the most popular naps of the day, with three tipsters picking out the daughter of Camelot as the best bet of the day. Other runners at Goodwood that have been napped by three tipsters include Orbaan, who is a 4/1 chance for the 14:25 race, while Karl Burke's Bright Diamond is 4/1 for the 13:50 at Goodwood and is another napped by three tipsters.
The final runner on Saturday to attract the attention of three tipsters is the Ed Walker-trained Great Ambassador, who is a 100/30 for the 15:15 at Newmarket and is the best bet of both The Duke from the Yorkshire Post and RP Ratings from the Racing Post.
The Celebration Mile is the feature race at Goodwood this afternoon at 15:35 and Garry Owen from the Daily Record, who sits second in the naps table, has napped the 7/2 chance Jadoomi, who will attempt to hand trainers Simon & Ed Crisford their second win in the race in three years. However, the warm favourite for the contest is the Charles Hills-trained Mutasaabeq, who is currently a 6/5 favourite at the moment, and the jolly has been napped by Lambourn from the Racing Post as he bids to improve on a second placed finish in the Summer Mile at Ascot last time out.
Expert Eye spearheads the naps table and the tipster who has a fine profit of £42.71 has picked out the 4/1 chance Perfect Alibi in the 15:00 at Goodwood, who is looking to upset the red-hot 2/9 favourite Hoo Ya Mal, who looks to be the one to beat in the Group 3 March Stakes.
The Punt from the Racing Post has picked out one of the biggest priced naps of the day as they have opted to side with the 20/1 chance Mo Celita, who runs in the 15:15 at Newmarket, while other big-priced naps on Saturday include the 20/1 outsider Strawberry Belle in the 14:45 at Newmarket and the 16/1 shot Star Harbour, who runs in the 16:15 at the Curragh.
