Horse Racing Tips: The most interesting tips this Tuesday
It's a wonderful time of year for racing fans now with the jumps seasons still just about hanging on while the flat is getting rolling as the days get longer. Five tracks host action today across the disciplines, with no racing in Ireland but cards coming from Sedgefield, Epsom, Yarmouth and evening meetings at Worcester and Wolverhampton. We have highlighted a few of the most interesting selections on site here...
With yesterday's feature race being The Irish Grand National, a host of Naps competition entrants who were languishing near the foot of the leaderboard took the opportunity to take a chance on a big priced runner to secure a huge win for their chances in getting back into contention. With the 40/1 outsider Lord Lariat winning as well as he did at Fairyhouse, two Naps entrants were surely jumping for joy. Both Moorestyle from The Daily Star on Sunday and Rory Delargy of The Irish Field found the winner for Dermot McLoughlin and are now in much rosier positions in the overall standings.
Both tipsters will be hoping to keep the momentum rolling and Rory Delargy is going with an early runner in the day as his Nap. JUST THAT LORD is set to take his chance in the 13:50 contest at Epsom for Simon Hodgson and top jockey Hollie Doyle. At the time of writing is available at a best price of 15/2. A five furlong sprint at Epsom Downs is an unforgiving place to choose your best bet but at least Delargy and his followers will know their fate quickly. Just That Lord was last seen in September of 2021 finishing last at Goodwood and his backers today will be forgiving him that run and remembering his penultimate start when he made all to win the Cappagh Supporting The Forgotten Irish Handicap at Windsor on ground similar to that on which he will run today.
Moorestyle's Nap does not run until much later in the day and is BOMB SQUAD. Another selection at larger odds than most today in the leaderboard, Bomb Style runs in the 17:35 at Wolverhampton for John Mackie and Andrew Mullen. He only recently joined his new connections after a disappointing spell and on his first run for the new yard ran encouragingly when finishing second up at Newcastle over six furlongs. He will run over the same distance today at Wolverhampton and if he has improved further then should outrun his odds, which have already shortened a fair bit this morning.
Epsom is always one of the most focused on tracks by tipsters and racing fans alike on the rare days the iconic track hosts action, and the most Napped section on site is dominated by runners from the course. The runner which has been selected the most by the experts is ARENAS DEL TIEMPO. Local trainer Simon Dow would be ecstatic to saddle a winner at the track mere yards from his base and his booking of Hollie Doyle indicates how seriously connections are taking the chance of this talented runner.
The four year old ran adequately enough on his seasonal reappearance over the same trip as today at Lingfield seventeen days ago when finishing third at 12/1 under Tom Marquand. His greatest day so far undoubtedly came under today's jockey and at this very track and trip last season when winning the John Benstead Handicap as 5/2 favourite. He was then just touched off when attempting to complete the double a few weeks later but has shown a liking for the course and distance so is a solid pick from the five experts who rate him as their best bet of the day, including Paul Kealey of the Racing Post.
