**Most Likely: Stella Mars #6 (Race 5)**
-
**Best Value: Troubleshooter #3 (Race 3)**
NYRA's signature Racing Festival is complete, and Todd Pletcher's 1-2 score in Belmont Stakes belongs to the ages. Now, it is time to turn our attention to the rest of the Meet. That runs through mid-July, which will in-turn, give way to celebrated Saratoga. There is much left to do in Elmont ... so, tune in!
At Horseracing.net/us we have you covered, including all of the action! It is a good time for some of the best that North American racing has to offer. Stay tuned! Most Likely Winner: (Race 5: Stella Mars #6, 15/1):
I am not sure why Ray Handal’s filly by Point of Entry is 15/1 on the M/L. Against Starter ALLW Co., she was up against some tough customers. Now, she comes into a claiming race again, and I like the decision to drop that this young trainer is making. The move to Joel Rosario is a plus, not that Dylan Davis is a slouch. Looking at “Stella’s” Belmont record, she likes the turf, for sure. Handal should be visiting the winner’s circle. Wouldn’t it be cause to shout ... "Stel ... laaa!" ... if this runner is somewhere around 15/1 when this race goes off?
Wagering Recommendation: $100 Win, #6
Off-the-Pace Play of the Day: (Race 3: Troubleshooter #3, 6/1):
Searching for value on this Sunday card, I landed on this well-bred gelding by Into Mischief. Trained by Jeremiah Englehart, his charge has the ability to improve … second off-the bench. His ’22 debut did not go particularly well, but that doesn’t mean that he will not respond this time around. Luis Saez gets another chance, and he has the ability to make the most of it. The Merrylegs homebred does have a win at Belmont, and I know most bettors will overlook this one. Great betting opportunity … you will not see a price like this again!
Wagering Recommendation: $100 Bankroll, Graduated Wager WPS #3 ($10-W, $15-P, $75-S)
Spotlight Race of the Day: (Race 8: Dirt, 6F, Dancin Renee S., $100k, F&M 4+):
The New York breds are out in force this Sunday afternoon, and most will be trying to catch Steve Asmussen’s The Important One #2. Owned by the excellent Bloom Racing, this mare has gobs of early speed, and if Jose Lezcano can “make the break,” then she could be the lone speed out front. There are others that could go with her, but I think she has a great chance to control the fractions. If she does get challenged, then that type of situation could set-up nicely for a runner like John Terranova’s Bank Sting #7. This mare by Central Banker is a seasoned professional, and with a lifetime record of 11/7-1-0, she has the legs to get the job done. Super jockey Joel Rosario gets the call, and expect her to be in the mix, late in the game. The price on this one could be tepid, or she could end up being favorite (2/1, or much lower); so instead, I am keen to back the Falcone Barn entry, Kept Waiting #1. There is much to like about this daughter of Broken Vow, especially looking over her recent form. She ran in both the Distaff H. (G3) @AQU, and in the Vagrancy H. (G3) @BEL. Those performances were adequate, and make her formidable. She has loads of tactical speed, and Kendrick Carmouche knows what she can do, having ridden her in both of those races. I am hoping she will get overlooked on the tote … that might not happen … Here is the wager I have constructed …
Wagering Recommendation: $2 Trifecta Cold, 1/2/7

Enjoy the day at beautiful Belmont! Best of luck on another run at their Spring/Summer Meet!
