York racecourse is one of the most prestigious racecourses in the UK, and holds a hosts of high-profile meetings during the season. York is well known for it's Dante Meeting in May, which hosts a key trial for the Epsom Derby in the form of the Dante Stakes, but its big meeting of the year is the four-day Ebor Festival - which is held each year in mid August.
This year's meeting will take place behind closed doors between Wednesday 22nd August and Saturday 25th August, and we'll highlight the race cards and tips for all of the races at the course during the week.
York's Ebor Festival is headlined by the £1 million Ebor Handicap on the Saturday, but there's a host of top-class action, including three Group 1 contests; the International Stakes, the Yorkshire Oaks and the Nunthorpe Stakes.

York Racecourse has been hosting racing meetings since 1731 and is known as one of the premier race courses in the United Kingdom with excellent facilities. The track is known as the 'The Knavesmire' it is used for flat racing and it is a left handed oval shaped course.
The racecourse hosts 17 days of racings with the highlight being the four day Ebor Festival in August each year, with each day having a feature races but the spotlight races are the Juddmonte International Stakes and the Ebor Handicap. The festival is also known for the Nunthorpe Stakes and the Yorkshire Oaks. Another key race as this track is the group 2 Emirates Airline Yorkshire Cup which is held in May.
Although York is one of the fairest track middle numbers do tend to be favoured on the straight track when the ground is soft.
