One of the original seven Breeders’ Cup races, the Juvenile Fillies has been around since 1984 and is the premier race in the country for 2-year-old fillies. The Juvenile Fillies is a Grade 1 race worth $2 million and is traditionally run at 1 1/16 miles on dirt, though the configuration can vary depending on the host track. ‘Win and You’re In’ events for the race include the Grade 2 Pocahontas at Churchill Downs, the Grade 1 Chandelier at Santa Anita Park, the Grade 1 Alcibiades at Keeneland and the Grade 1 Frizette at Belmont Park. The race has been won by countless stars over the years, most notably Go For Wand, Beholder, and Songbird.
