NYRA's Aqueduct Racetrack just completed what has been touted as a "very successful" Fall Meet, especially concerning handle. They immediately head straight into their Winter Session. Though the turf is covered until April, dirt racing is 100% available ... so, this is still one of the tracks that garners mass attention.
At Horseracing.net/us we have you covered, including all of the action! It is a good time for some of the best that North American racing has to offer. Stay tuned!

Most Likely Winner: (Race 4: Trash Talker #10, 5/2):
When it comes to NYRA claiming, Rob Atras has some numbers that are pretty impressive. Back in early October, he scored this gelding by Competitive Edge, and I like the fact that he is sending this new member of his barn back into ALLW Co. With a frontrunning style that is powerful from the start, this could be another victory. Looking over this 4-yr-old’s record at the “Big A,” he has 5 starts, 1 win, and a pair of show results to his credit. Atras gets together with Jose Ortiz, and I am hoping these two dynamic fellows can get the job done.
Wagering Recommendation: $100 Win, #10
Off-the-Pace Play of the Day: (Race 7: Crypto Cash #4, 12/1):
Even though Linda Rice’s AQU Meet is off to a slow start, she can score with a double-digit odds runner from her stable that is by Majesticperfection. Since coming over from Joe Sharp’s operation earlier this year, the gelding has made the switch from the turf to the dirt. That new surface attempt in a Clm20k event, resulted in a 3rd place finish. Having to go 6-wide on the dirt in that race was no easy task, and even though he tired in the end, he has the chance to improve here at a big price. The addition of Kendrick Carmouche sounds like a major plus to me!
Wagering Recommendation: $100 Bankroll, Graduated Wager WPS #4 ($10-W, $15-P, $75-S)
Spotlight Race of the Day: (Race 8: Dirt, 6F, Garland of Roses S., $100k, F&M 3+):
The Saturday feature on the Aqueduct card is the $100 Garland of Roses S. A group of 7 will be going 1-turn in what should amount to an all-out war on the dirt. I would check the weather conditions before handicapping on Saturday because it could be impactful. The favorite coming into this race will be Glass Ceiling #2 from the Baker Barn. The 4-yr-old filly by Constitution is coming off a 2nd place finish in spilt Pumpkin Pie 100k, which was run at Belmont on Halloween. Dylan Davis tried to get his mount up in time, but he just could not catch Cox’s Lady Rocket. That runner just came back nicely in the Go For Wand (G3) at Aqueduct during their Fall Meet. Based on the other entries, it is hard to believe that anyone will be able to game with Davis down the lane. But I am going to try to beat this well-bred filly … My top selection instead goes to Chad Brown’s Starfront #5. This filly by Malibu Moon is a Juddmonte homebred, who actually was in the other half of the Pumpkin Pie 100k. Though she ended up 5th in that race, I think she can rebound nicely after a smart-looking work tab since. The accomplished Jose Ortiz, her only rider in 3 career starts, once again gets the call. If her odds end up 4/1, even higher, this looks like a quality overlay to me. Let’s play her on top, and place Baker’s runner underneath in an ice-cold Exacta … should go with the temperature.
Wagering Recommendation: $2 Exacta Cold, 5 w 2

Enjoy some racing from the “Big A!” Best of luck on another run at Aqueduct!
