NYRA’s Aqueduct Racetrack has their Winter Meet rolling along, despite some challenging weather conditions. The Derby Trail is heating up there with the Gotham S. (G2), and the Wood Memorial S. (G2) slated to run in March and April, respectively. Plus, all of the other NYRA stakes competition ... how about that! Today, we have 9 races coming your way, which includes a nice "BT" ... the Hollie Hughes S. ...
At Horseracing.net/us we have you covered, including all of the action! It is a good time for some of the best that North American racing has to offer. Stay tuned!

Most Likely Winner: (Race 5: Kisses for Emily #2, 3/1):
The Linder Barn has a confident filly headed to the post on Saturday. In 4 career starts, she has a 2nd and a 3rd to her credit. By Union Jackson, and thus Malibu Moon, her bloodlines reflect strong breeding. Competing in MSW Co., she has run on nicely against a good group of other fillies. The presence of Jose Lezcano only adds to the proposition … what a bet! If you get 3/1 vs. this bunch, then that sounds like a bet to me.
Wagering Recommendation: $100 Win, #2
Off-the-Pace Play of the Day: (Race 7: Vintage Hollywood #6, 8/1):
The Noda Brothers are entering this gelding by Country Day against some state bred company that will be pretty challenging. I like this spot because it is a class dropping opportunity. If you look at this 7-yr-old’s form of late, it is full of open company Claiming races, coupled with some OC state contests. Now, he is going to get even more relief by entering in this Clm25k (state). It is going to be up to Jalon Samuel to try and work out a nice trip. His numbers are not the best at the AQU Meet … here is a shot at a price.
Wagering Recommendation: $100 Bankroll, Graduated Wager WPS # ($10-W, $15-P, $75-S)
Spotlight Race of the Day: (Race 8: Dirt, 6F, Hollie Hughes S., $100k, 4+ NY Breds):
The “feature” on this Saturday is a New York special … the $100k Hollie Hughes. Sprinting to glory, these 6 older males will try to outdo one another in the end. At the top of the tote on Saturday, I am sure that Rudy Rodriguez’s Wudda U Think Now #2 will be there. This gelding by Fast Anna appears to be loaded … last out win in an OC62.5k by 10-lengths … T-Mac back aboard … work tab is impressive … fit as can be … Maybe 4/5 on the M/L is quite deserved, and I would not try to “talk you off” of him. For the sake of variety though, I am instead going to back My Boy Tate #4. Head-to-head, this gelding by Boys At Tosconova that is owned partially by Little Red feather, has class in spades. His record in “Non-G” state races is very stout. In fact, he was a winner by-a-neck in the Say Florida Sandy S. on 8 Jan., so expect this one, piloted by Manny Franco, should be ready to go again. I give the nod to this Michelle Nevin trainee. Here is the wager … pretty simple …
Wagering Recommendation: $2 Exacta Cold, 4 w 2
