Beautiful Belmont Park in Elmont, New York is pointing towards the end of the Triple Crown Trail in early June. Before we get there, they have their customary racing, which is nothing short of fabulous.
From Opening Day through the Belmont Stakes Program, and into July, it is going to be another great set of cards ... so, enjoy! Today, 9 races are on tap, so it is time to tuck in!
At Horseracing.net/us we have you covered, including all of the action! It is a good time for some of the best that North American racing has to offer. Stay tuned! Most Likely Winner: (Race 5: Customerexperience #3, 9/2):
In this gem of a Starter Handicap, the Falcone Barn is sending out a strong entry by Cairo Prince. The last time out for this one was a miss (4th), but in her defense, the mare had a pretty troubled trip … as she tried to make up ground from behind. She gets a rider change, which is an upgrade from Manny Franco to Luis Saez. I think her price will be square in this spot, since Shesalittle Edgy #7 is sure to get over bet.
Wagering Recommendation: $100 Win, #3
Off-the-Pace Play of the Day: (Race 7: Matty’s Express #6, 8/1):
I have backed this gelding by Admiral Kitten on several occasions, and he is one of those runners that cannot be kept down. He has not won since Saratoga last summer on the turf, but that doesn’t mean that he cannot make an impact in a spot like this one. Jeff Englehart has made some nice claims over the course of the Aqueduct, and into the Belmont Meet. The conditioner found another gem here. If he can break well with Dylan Davis at the controls, then I think he can easily win the day at a nice price … 8/1.
Wagering Recommendation: $100 Bankroll, Graduated Wager WPS #6 ($10-W, $15-P, $75-S)
Spotlight Race of the Day: (Race 8: Turf, 6F, AOC45kn2x, F&M 3+ NY Breds):
I am not entirely sure that this race will remain on the turf, but we are going to hope for the best! It goes beyond saying … this is a well-matched field that the Racing Office has come up with, as 11 will be going 6 furlongs (includes a coupled entry, plus 2 MTOs). When it comes to a top pick, I am interested in the entry from the barn of Tom Morley. Social Whirl #6 was excellent at the end of the October Belmont Meet, and into the Aqueduct’s December action on the dirt. Morley is strong when it comes to getting runners back on the tab, and this filly by Freud matured over the break. She should be coming into her own, and fresh off-the-shelf. Plus, Javier Castellano once again gets the call, and he rode her 5x in ’21. Let’s use her as our “key” horse, and I will use Jeremiah Englehart’s Sassy Melissa #2, Jorge Abreu’s Guardian Moon #5, and Michelle Nevin’s Get the Candy #10, to finish off a Trifecta ticket. Each of these has turf ability, and their prices are not going to be too shabby. What a barnburner …
Wagering Recommendation: $2 Trifecta Wheel, 6 w 2/5/10 w 2/5/10

Enjoy the day at beautiful Belmont! Best of luck on another run at their Spring/Summer Meet!
