Sean's Take...

I actually have a lot of love for this plucky filly, who has quickly made a habit of outrunning her odds in South Florida, but it’s hard to take her seriously in this race as she enters with a top Beyer Speed Figure of 77, which was earned in a 6 ½-furlong sprint at Gulfstream. Despite her penchant for snubbing bettors, this is one instance in which I think the public is going to have her accurately pegged; she’s a complete outsider.

J.N's Take...

Unsung trainer Javier Gonzalez is going to the show with his well-hoofed filly out of Competitive Edge. You probably will find very few runners who have entered this many lifetime races—7 at this point. Those efforts are an eclectic mix of successes and failures. Her pinnacle came in a 75k “Non-G” event at Gulfstream Park, which is her home track. Now, she ventures into uncharted waters, which does not offer much confidence. Finishing 3rd in both the Davona Dale and the GP Oaks (both G2s) were a pair of accomplishments, but you have to wonder if she can really improve against a massive field like this one. Punching a ticket to Louisville is a dream come true, to say the least. Grade: C-
