Horse Racing Picks

Most Likely Winner: (Race 3: Trappezoid #5, 8/5):

Here is an Ontario bred that has some major upside in that the gelding has 46 career races under his saddle. Number 47 promises to be a bet … Against this group, it should be no problem for the Jorge Delgado trainee. Since February, this one has not finished below the place position. Heading into this stakes contest, jockey Chantal Sutherland will be able to navigate the field. Her riding skills have been on display in full force these past months, and it will be great to see that continue.

Wagering Recommendation: $100 Win, #5

Off-the-Pace Play of the Day: (Race 7: Dem a Wonder #3, 8/1):

When it comes to a price play, this Florida bred who is both trained and owned by Rohan Crichton, gets the nod. With 17 career races, the filly by Hello Broadway has $114,600 in career earnings to her name. Looking over her form, she made the jump from the Claiming ranks into AOC Co. last time at Gulfstream Park. If she can graduate once again to this upper echelon of racing, then it should be a nice score at a price. Maybe

Wagering Recommendation: $100 Bankroll, Graduated Wager WPS #3 ($10-W, $15-P, $75-S)

Spotlight Race of the Day: (Race 6: Turf, 1 1/16th, Claiming Crown Tiara Starter, $95k, F&M 3+):

This is a race with some distinct possibilities … It would be easy to just “key” the Saffie Joseph runner and move on from there. That is exactly what I intend to do, playing a Superfecta that I hope will bring home a nice score for a $2 bet. So, let’s take Sugar Fix #8 and put that filly on top. Then, I will place Kahiko #1, Una Luna #5, and Whimsical Muse #9 in each of the other positions. That should do it, and I am hoping that Joseph’s runner does what I think she will do! Huzzah …

Wagering Recommendation: $2 Superfecta Wheel, 8 w 1/5/9 w 1/5/9 w 1/5/9
