This edition of the Twin Spires Turf Sprint Stakes is another wide-open one for the bettor. Our in-house handicapper has sniffed out what he thinks is some tremendous value in Smart Remark. The 30-1 shot is his play. Our editor sticks with his penchant for Into Mischief offspring with Sombeyay and our turf-man had Just Might on his ticket.

It was Fiya however that went off as the betting favorite in the pools. The four-year-old son of Friesan Fire came into the race undefeated with wins at Belmont, Laurel Park and Gulfstream Park. Diamond Oops won this race last fall and was looking to repeat. He was a 7-2 shot along with Fast Boat. So the team certainly were looking away from the short prices going into the Turf Sprint.

Fiya and Just Might went out to the lead early and the two of them came around the turn looking strong. Our turf-man's pick Just Might looked good as he nudged himself ahead of his rivals as Fiya looked gassed having gone at full throttle from the start but then Sombeyay and Fast Boat made their move - blowing past the leader.

Classy John was also a long shot who was very much in the mix coming down the final furlong. He bumped Sombeyay slightly allowing Fast Boat to inch in front to grab the victory. He paid out $10.40 for the win.
