History: The first recorded Sonoma County Fair was a single-day display at the Santa Rosa Courthouse Plaza in 1855. In 1879, a 90-acre parcel of land was purchased on which a racetrack was built along with stalls and a grandstand. Billed as Wine Country Horse Racing, the track is the only Northern California fair to offer turf racing.
Facilities: The fair is brimming with family fun activities and is renowned for its flower show. Racing fans can enjoy a VIP experience at The Turf Club for just a $6 admission.
