Race Distance: 1 3/16 mile (1,900 Meters)

History:  First ridden in 2000, it became a Kentucky Derby prep race in 2013 and is the richest race in the Road to the Derby. It is classified as a Grade II race but has shifted from 2,000 meters to 1,800 and then to 1,900 in its short history. It takes place during the rich Dubai World Cup meeting but has the distinction of attracting horses from different ages depending on where they are from. Horses in the northern hemisphere can compete if they are three years-old but for southern hemisphere horses, it is open for four year-olds.
