Knicks Go Went, Sets Track Record in the Dirt Mile

One of the most difficult races on this Breeders' Cup card was always going to be the Dirt Mile. Whoever got to the first turn on the lead would have a major opportunity to hold on for the score.
At the break, Knicks Go blazed a trail as the favorite at 9-5 for trainer Brad Cox. Since the Louisville-based trainer took this one over, this has been a different Knicks Go--frontend running at the finest. He led all the way, despite an early challenge from Chad Brown's Complexity. Joel Rosario flicked on the auto-pilot. He sat back and enjoyed the ride, as this son of Paynter cruised along, almost hovering above the dirt.
Fractions fell by the wayside (.44.10 at the half!), and that makes 3 BC victories for Cox so far. Second went to Preakness longshot Jesus' Team, and 3rd was awarded to Mark Glatt's Sharp Samurai. Congrats to the Korean Racing Authority of powerhouse Knicks Go, as they work tirelessly to reinvigorate the breeding of Thoroughbreds in East Asia.
