With the turf being a touch softer than many believed, sprinters turned and burned at Keeneland. A bevy of runners vied for favoritism, with the tepid favorite going to Mark Casse's Got Stormy (9-2). Her biggest obstacle would be whether or not her engine could get cranked up at 5 1/2 F. She did not. The win went to the lone European entry--a first in this event,

Glass Slippers, the filly, who is trained by Kevin Ryan and piloted by Tom Eaves, sliced and diced through massive amounts of traffic to score a major victory on the turf. Glass Slippers was 10-1, with many bettors overlooking the fact that the 4-yr-old's 2020 campaign included a strong slate of classy races: including a 5th place finish at Royal Ascot in the King's Stand (G1), and a nice win at The Curragh (IRE) in the Derrinstown Stud Flying Five Stakes (G1).

Second went to the late-running Wet Your Whistle at odds of 26-1, and one of the other favorites, Leinster (4-1) finished off the top 3. Got Stormy's leg kick failed her, as she watched Glass Slippers win the ball!
