About the Coronation Stakes
The Coronation Stakes is a Group One race run over a distance just shy of a mile and is open to three-year-old fillies.
First held in 1840, the Coronation Stakes has grown in stature and was eventually upgraded to Group One status in 1988 and has been a target by those star fillies that have competed in the 1000 Guineas in England, Ireland and France. Only the best fillies have managed to claim victory in a Guineas before tasting victory in the Coronation with Alpha Centauri a star filly that achieved that feat in 2018.

Coronation Stakes Tips
PRECISE was sparkling in the Irish 1000 Guineas to bounce back from her disappointment in the English equivalent and can justify her short price on the feature race of the day.
