Horse Racing Tips: Most Popular Naps From Kempton On Quiet Day
It is a case of Kempton to the rescue today, as just one of the day's scheduled three race meetings has survived the elements. Huntingdon and Ffos Las have already fallen foul of the wet conditions, but with flat racing scheduled for the all-weather tonight at Kempton we should at least have one card to look forward to. Here we take a look at the most popular Naps from those who selected at Kempton and not at the two abandoned meetings...

Most Napped Horses Today
Yesterday we saw a horse selected as the best bet of the day by a whopping seven judges, only for Aubis Walk to pull up and disappoint supporters. There was not much market confidence behind the Nicky Richards runner which perhaps told its own story, however today there is a horse with even more support in the Naps table; ENGINEER for Clive Cox and Rossa Ryan. Priced up at 6/4 at the time of writing, in the 19:00 race at Kempton over six furlongs, it would be no surprise to see this Showcasing colt go off odds-on with that level of support behind him.
Last time out he ran with credit to finish second over this course and distance to what may turn out in the fullness of time to be a very smart one, Mukataah, who got the lead far too easily and could not be pegged back by anything in the field. Rossa Ryan certainly won't allow any horse to do that again today and this looks a perfect opportunity for Cox's charge to get back to winning ways. This has led TEN experts to select him as their best bet of the day! Of the group, it is The Irish Sun in fifth who is the most profitable contestant thus far, and along with nine others they will be looking to boost their profit number and climb the rankings.
With just one meeting today, it is no surprise to see the Naps congregated around the same horses. Nevertheless, although five other horses are picked as the best bet by three judges, it is all about Engineer in terms of quantity of picks.
Horseracing.net says: "The horse that beat Engineer last time out at Kempton over six furlongs got first run on the Clive Cox raider and looked too rapid to be pegged back. If Engineer is more alert to a potential bolter at the start, or indeed makes the running himself, this looks a perfect chance to win in his second race in four starts before moving onto bigger and better things as the season progresses."

Follow The Leaders
After yesterday's results, there were no changes in the order of the top three in the Naps table. Still soaring away with a near £10 profit atop the table is The Punt from the Racing Post, who sides with a course and distance winner in REVOLUTIONISE in the 20:00 contest under David Probert. He ran respectably to finish fourth last time out just over a week ago at Chelmsford, making his challenge a few seconds too late and having no chance of catching up to those who raced more prominently. This looks a decent chance to finally get his head back in front after over a year.
Spotlight remains in second place and is Napping in the race before The Punt's pick, with Legacy Power in the 19:30. He is a big price on handicap debut, and his mark certainly looks workable if in time it proves to be true the horse that battered him into second last time out is a group class individual. Legacy Power is still a maiden, having only had three starts to date, but certainly looks to have place claims at the very least now handicapping. Finally, in third place Lambourn remains and they have plumped for Swiss Pride in the 18:00 at Kempton as their best chance of a winner today. Roger Teal's charge is back close to his last winning mark, and has won here before, but has looks out of sorts of late so will need to bounce back if he is to be competitive.

Racing News Round-Up
- Noble Yeats will NOT run in the Cheltenham Gold Cup this year, it has been confirmed by trainer Emmet Mullins. The horse of course won the 2022 Grand National and was then aimed at Prestbury Park before a return to Aintree, but this season all focus is solely on regaining the Grand National title.
- Wolverhampton will host Sunday racing this weekend in a new strategy for UK racing , with an encouraging 203 horses entered. Hopefully the venture continues to be well supported.
- Hewick, the star of this year's dramatic King George, could well miss the Cheltenham Gold Cup if the ground comes up on the softer side. His handler Shark Hanlon is adamant his stable star needs good in the description, but it'd be a shame if his thriving staying chaser had to miss out.
