Goodwood Tips: Three Thursday Picks Live on ITV Racing

Thursday's racing from Glorious Goodwood features the Group 1 Nassau Stakes at 3:35pm. ITV Racing are showing the first five races on the card and - after picking three winners from three selections yesterday - we've found three best bets for the televised action.

Goodwood 13:50 - Coral Kincsem Heritage Handicap

Goodwood can be a tricky track for some horses so I'm siding with the three-year-old with course form in the book in this opening race of the day. CIARRAI ABU has run two of his five races at the Sussex track including his maiden victory back in May. He followed that up with a solid fourth placed finish back at Goodwood in June - not getting the best of runs before running on strongly at the finish and last time out he won a decent Ascot Handicap off a 6lb lower mark than he holds today. The extra furlong of this contest can bring out a bit more improvement and this progressive sort looks worth backing at about 5/1. 

Goodwood 14:25 - Markel Richmond Stakes (Group 2)

Flann Sunna steps up in class to put his unbeaten record on the line in The Richmond but at 15/8 he looks plenty short enough in the market to triumph in this Group 2 contest. The pick of the alternatives all ran in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot with Adaay Of Scarlet (2nd) finishing ahead of Cut A Dash (4th) and Night In Vegas (5th). Adaay Of Scarlet has been out since finishing second of three in the July Stakes and I fancy CUT A DASH to reverse the Ascot form. The son of Starspangledbanner was a really impressive winner on debut at York before that respectable performance at the Royal Meeting and he looks open to plenty of improvement. At around 7/2 he's a value alternative to the favourite.  

Goodwood 16:10 - Buccellati Handicap

MISS YECHANCE has plenty of miles on the clock already for a three-year-old and she can put that experience to good use in this final ITV televised race of the day. The winner of a valuable 5 furlong turf handicap at Meydan in January, she returned to the UK - switching to the Karl Burke stable - and finished 7th of 27 in the Palace Of Holyroodhouse Handicap at the Royal Meeting. She perhaps got going too early that day and raced in what proved to be an unfavourable part of the track so it would be no surprise if she came on plenty for that run. In a wide open race and with bookies paying five places, she rates a fair each way bet at around 8/1.
