ITV Racing Tips: Additional Saturday Selections at Cheltenham

We've been busy producing individual race previews at HR.Net towers this week for a big day at both Cheltenham and Doncaster, but there are more races on ITV that have outstanding bet propositions in according to Billy Grimshaw and he brings you the thinking here...

13:50 Cheltenham - Betfair Exchange Handicap Chase
The top of the market here is simply begging to be taken on in my view, with Ginny's Destiny undoubtedly the class act but the form of both the horse and the yard under the microscope. If he runs to the level he produced when clashing with Grey Dawning as a novice last season he wins, it's as simple as that, however I don't think at 11/4 there is enough evidence he retains the zest he showed last campaign and he has also begun to throw in some questionable jumps. Not for me at that price.
Iroko comes next but connections have repeatedly informed anyone who'll listen that this whole season is all about Grand National prep, so why would they want to risk a hike in the weights by winning this? He will surely be given a calculated ride and perhaps make some typical late headway, but I cannot see the logic in them going hell for leather in here. Then we have Imperial Saint, who is a horse I've supported in the past but doesn't seem to be as good going this way round or on undulating tracks.
So, I've done a good job dismissing those at short prices, which of the outsiders am I with? Well, SOME SCOPE did us a favour last time out when a well backed winner at Wetherby and despite this drop in trip potentially worrying for some backers, I think we will see a real end to end gallop in here and this confirmed stayer should be able to keep up before playing the stamina card off a still lenient looking mark for Richard Hobson. Back him each-way as I'm confident he'll be in the frame, but I ca put no one off a win only pick particularly if he drifts. This seven year old ain't done improving yet.
14:05 Doncaster - River Don Novices' Hurdle
I think Joe Tizzard may have a smart stayer in the making on his hands in WESTERN KNIGHT and although it is a bit galling to be backing a horse at 2/1 who was available at 5/1 earlier in the week, he deserves to be market leader in here and I do think he'll win up in Yorkshire. The Albert Bartlett is not a race to be getting involved with antepost unless you fancy one at a huge price, but this lad at 66/1 does tempt me a tad as does the horse who beat him comfortably and impressively at Cheltenham last time out for France Jet Blue at 16/1.
In time I'm fairly sure that'll be a piece of form we look back on in a better light than currently and with Tizzard noting this lad is a big baby at home but one who is learning all the time, and with stamina his forte, I'm expecting a big run here en-route to his Cheltenham target. The main danger is predictably second favourite Ma Shantou, with the horse yet to be tried over 3m but on a four timer over the intermediate trip and always looking best at the finish. He could give Western Kight a real fright but Tizzard's horse's experience over the trip could prove vital, while Yellow Car is perhaps an interesting outsider to note for this race considering he is 16/1 in here but the same price (66/1) for Albert Bartlett glory as 2/1 fav Western Knight.
