Racing Tips For Today: Three at Ripon on Thursday

Having identified a 9/2 winning selection in yesterday's article, Nick Seddon has picked out three interesting bets on today's racing from our Naps Table tipsters...
Tipster - Rory Delargy, The Irish Field; Angle - Follow the leader
Rory Delargy extended his lead at the top of our Naps table with a winner at Ayr yesterday afternoon, and he's put up Staxton as his best bet of the day over at Ripon races. It's 12 months now since his last success, but he's sliding down the weights as a consequence, and arrives here 11 lb lower than his last winning mark. He'll need more than he's shown in three starts so far this term, but in what looks a pretty open affair, it would be disappointed if he isn't at least on the premises off a career low mark.
Staxton
Tipster - Marlborough, Daily Telegraph; Angle - In-form tipster
Marlborough was operating at a 30% strike rate last month, and they too have headed to Ripon for their best bet of the day, tipping up Innse Gall in the fourth race on the card. The son of Toronado has shown plenty of ability in two starts so far, finishing third in a small field event at Ayr races last time out. That effort reads well in the context of this race, and what looks a workable opening mark of 67, he ought to go close for his in-form yard.
Innse Gall
Tipster - Whistler, Sunday Telegraph; Angle - Tempting tip
The fifth race on the card is an eight-runner staying handicap over two miles, and Repetitio makes plenty of appeal for the Nigel Hawke team. The four-year-old was campaigned over hurdles last winter, but has shaped well in his two most recent starts on the level this summer, winning at Chepstow races in June before finishing second at Haydock last time out. He's up another 3 lb here, and it's interesting to see such strong market support this morning. Indeed, he's the pick of Whistler, who sits fourth in our Naps Table at present, and a big run is expected.
