Royal Ascot Favourites: Four fancied runners expected to win this week

With Royal Ascot 2024 starting on Tuesday, we've picked out four horses expected to win this week that could be combined into an accumulator bet.
The wait is almost over and the highlight of the Flat season is on the horizon. With five days of top class competitive action set to take place at the Berkshire track, there'll be plenty of people looking to place multiple bets on the likeliest winners. We've picked out four below which can be combined into a 4-fold at current odds of 26/1 with BetMGM.
#AD 18+ New cust only. 7 days to place a qualifying bet of £10 at Evens (1/1) for 2 x £10 Free Bets (min odds 2/1) & 2 x £10 Free Accas (trebles & above at min odds per line 1/2). Expires 14/03/25 23:59. Cannot be used on e-sports & non UK/IE horse racing. 7 day expiry. Exclusions apply. Stake not returned. 18+. Full T&Cs apply.
Tuesday 4:25 - St James's Palace Stakes (Group 1)
The unbeaten colt NOTABLE SPEECH is the top rated horse in the field on official ratings, RPR's and Topspeed and he could be difficult to beat in this 7 furlong Group 1. William Buick partnered the Godolphin runner to success in the 2000 Guineas last time out, finishing 1.5 lengths in front of Rosallion who reopposes here and looks the main danger. Currently priced at around 11/8 he will be expected to maintain his unbeaten record for trainer Charlie Appleby.
Thursday 3:45 - Ribblesdale Stakes (Group 2)
Another Charlie Appleby runner will be well fancied to win this fillies contest on Thursday. DIAMOND RAIN is also unbeaten with 2 wins from 2 runs, the first of those here at Ascot in May. Last time out, she was an impressive winner of the Listed Fillies Trial Stakes at Newbury, pulling clear in the manner of a good horse. William Buick will take the ride on Thursday and she's currently priced at around 7/4.
Thursday 4:25 - Gold Cup (Group 1)
Having been unable to defend his crown last year, KYPRIOS will be many people's idea of the banker of the meeting when he lines up in the Ascot Gold Cup on Thursday. Aiden O'Brien trained the mighty Yeats to win this race four times and returns with this 6-year-old who beat Mojo Star and Stradivarius in the 2022 edition. Under Ryan Moore he has won both starts this season and may start at odds-on to win the meeting's feature race on Thursday.
Friday 3:45 - Coronation Stakes (Group 1)
The second of our Aiden O'Brien trained runners is OPERA SINGER in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes. The winner of last year's Prix Marcel Boussac at Longchamp, she returned with a third placed finish in the Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh. That race has a better quality feel than the English equivalent won by Elmalka who looks the best of the opposition on Friday.
