Today's Horse Racing Tips: Harbour to strike at Southwell

Regular readers will know that I have spoken very positively about a horse called Daafy over the past couple of weeks. I tipped him up when he was well beaten at Wolverhampton recently and have been waiting for him to return to Southwell ever since.
Unfortunately, the day job caught up with me and I fell asleep on my daughter’s bed at 7.30pm on Monday night whilst marking some remote learning. As a result, I didn’t prepare a selection for yesterday’s racing. Of course, Daafy won at 6/1 and confirmed his ability on the Fibresand surface.
I had flagged it up on Twitter (@chrisbaker1984) before I went to work, but it would have represented a lack of discipline if I had bet on him ‘blind’ without doing the necessary preparation. Heart (bet on him anyway because I’ve been waiting for him to run) v head (check the race for dangers before committing) stuff. Oh well!
With Storm Christoph battering the country, I am sticking to the All-Weather today with one bet at Southwell.

COLD HARBOUR (NAP – 1 point win bet at 3/1) finished second over this course and distance two weeks ago and can go one better today. The horse ahead of him that day was winning for the third time in four starts and the horse behind him has won since to boost the form.
This son of North Light has been dropped 2lbs by the handicapper and that puts him back on his last winning mark. Factor in the 5lb claim of jockey Laura Pearson and he looks to have a very good chance at the weights.
Four of his five career successes have come here at Southwell with three of those coming over today’s 1m4f trip. He has also been placed on seven occasions at the course so clearly loves it on the surface. Trainer Robyn Brisland has his runners in good form with four winners in the last fortnight, including Nick Vedder at Southwell yesterday.
Bay Of Naples and Engrave are the main dangers but both are beatable.
