Weatherbys Super Sprint Tips: Back These Two Fillies Against The Field

The £250,000 Weatherbys Super Sprint Stakes takes place at Newbury on Saturday. Here we take a look at the field of runners and select a best bet to place with bookmaker BetMGM.
Always a competitive affair, The Weatherbys Super Sprint is a race open to two-year-olds sold at auction with the weights based on each runner's sales price. 19 have been declared for the contest with Hugo Palmer's It Ain't Two the bookmakers' favourite.

The Favourites
IT AIN'T TWO looks to hold the best chance at the weights given that she finished runner up in a Listed race last time out and carries just 8st 7lb's here. The winner of two races in her career, she holds the highest RPR and Topspeed ratings in the field whilst also carrying less weight than 16 of her 18 rivals. If she runs to her level, she could be very difficult to beat.
Second in the market is VINGEGAARD for Archie Watson and Hollie Doyle. He won a Chepstow Maiden on debut and then finished a decent fifth in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot last time out. Watson trained the winner of this race two years ago and has an excellent chance to enhance that record with this son of Mehmas.
Another filly lurking at the bottom of the weights is TIME FOR SANDALS who won her only start at Kempton last month. She stayed on well to win over 6 furlongs that day so it remains to be seen whether she'll have the speed for this 5 furlong trip.
KAADI, by contrast, has done all of her running at 5 furlongs with her best performance to date coming last time out where she filled the runners up spot in a Listed race at Deauville.
Lively Outsiders
If you forgive his performance at Royal Ascot last time out, PONT NEUF would be amongst the favourites here having won his first two starts at Kempton (AW) and Salisbury. A similar comment could be applied to LARCHILL LASS who finished down the field in a Chantilly Group 3 last time having won a Carlisle Maiden on her third start after two second placed finishes at Beverley. She's at the foot of the weights here with just 8st 2lb on her back.

Super Sprint Tips
It's hard to get away from IT AIN'T TWO who ticks a lot of boxes and looks sure to be there or thereabouts if running to her level and getting luck in running. She may be a short price but she looks by far the most likely winner.
At a much bigger price, LARCHILL LASS is worth chancing each-way to small stakes. The bottom weight could hit the frame with four each-way places being paid by BetMGM.
