About the Norfolk Stakes
The Norfolk Stakes is a Group Two race run over five furlongs and takes place on day three of Royal Ascot.
Kicking off the action on Thursday, the Norfolk Stakes was first run in 1843 and is a race that has grown in stature since it was promoted from Group Three to Group Two status in 2006. Now, one of the star juvenile races of the week, the Norfolk Stakes is a contest for the speedy two-year-olds, who can go on to be top class sprinters and sometimes returning to run in the likes of the Commonwealth Cup and King's Stand Stakes.
Adrian Murray's Valiant Force was a shock 150/1 winner of the Norfolk in 2023 as the huge outsider got the better of Malc.
