England vs Ghana Betting Tips
| Market | Selection | Best Odds |
|---|---|---|
| Best Bet | England To Win And Over 2.5 Goals | 5/6 |
| Next Best | Jude Bellingham Anytime Goalscorer | 11/5 |
| Longshot | England 10+ Shots On Target | 5/1 |
England to win and over 2.5 goals is the headline selection, with Tuchel’s side fancied to have too much attacking quality for Ghana while still looking vulnerable enough defensively to make a straight win-to-nil angle less appealing. Harry Kane is the obvious goalscorer play after his double against Croatia, but Jude Bellingham is a much more attractive price to get on the scoresheet again and makes the cut, while England 10+ shots on target gives us a bigger-priced option if, as expected, the Three Lions dominate territory and pin Ghana back for long spells.

Best Bet: England To Win And Over 2.5 Goals
England are too short in the match result market on their own, but adding over 2.5 goals makes much more sense after what we saw against Croatia. Tuchel’s side looked sharp going forward, with Kane, Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford all on the scoresheet, and there should be enough pace, movement and bench strength to keep Ghana under pressure throughout.
The slight concern is that England still gave Croatia chances and looked loose when the game opened up. That is not ideal from a clean sheet perspective, but it helps the case for goals. Ghana will likely sit in, compete physically and look for transitions, but England should have the tools to eventually break them down and pull away.
Next Best: Jude Bellingham Anytime Goalscorer
Jude Bellingham looks a better anytime goalscorer next-best selection than Harry Kane at the prices, with 11/5 offering more appeal than Kane at odds-on. Bellingham scored against Croatia, continues to arrive in dangerous central areas and should again have licence to break beyond Kane when England build attacks around the edge of the box. Ghana are likely to spend long spells defending deep, which could make Kane a fairly obvious focal point for centre-backs to track. Bellingham’s late runs are harder to manage, and if England dominate possession as expected, he should get chances to attack second balls, cut-backs and loose clearances around the penalty area. He has proven goalscoring form in tournaments and thrives in the Three Lions jersey.

Longshot: England 10+ Shots On Target
England 10+ shots on target is the bigger-priced play for anyone looking beyond the standard result and goalscorer markets. It will need Tuchel’s side to control the game and keep the tempo high, but Ghana may spend long spells defending their box if England settle early.
The Three Lions created plenty against Croatia and the depth from the bench is a major part of this bet. If Saka, Rashford or Eze are introduced against tired legs, England should keep producing chances deep into the second half rather than simply managing the game
England vs Ghana Prediction
Ghana deserve respect after opening with a win over Panama, and their pace on the break means England cannot treat this as a formality. Carlos Queiroz’s side are likely to be organised, aggressive and awkward to play through, especially if England become too slow in possession.
Even so, England’s attacking ceiling looks much higher. Kane gives them the focal point, Bellingham gives them drive from midfield and the wide options should stretch Ghana as the game wears on. England may not get a clean sheet, but they should have enough quality to make it two wins from two in Group L.
Prediction: England 3-1 Ghana
England vs Ghana Team News
England are not expected to have any major injury concerns for tonight’s game, although Tuchel still has decisions to make out wide and at the back. Bukayo Saka is back in full training, but Noni Madueke and Anthony Gordon both started against Croatia, while Marcus Rashford scored from the bench and is pushing hard for a place in the XI.
Declan Rice is expected to be available, with Elliot Anderson likely to remain in the midfield conversation after an impressive World Cup debut. Reece James, John Stones, Ezri Konsa and Nico O’Reilly could again form the back four, though Marc Guehi and Djed Spence are alternatives if Tuchel wants to freshen things up.
Ghana have a decision to make in goal after Lawrence Ati-Zigi was forced off against Panama, with Benjamin Asare likely to come in. Thomas Partey should strengthen the midfield if selected, while Antoine Semenyo, Kamaldeen Sulemana and Brandon Thomas-Asante give Ghana pace and directness in attacking areas.
England Predicted XI
England predicted XI: Pickford; James, Stones, Konsa, O’Reilly; Anderson, Rice; Madueke, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane.
Ghana Predicted XI
