Thursday's Naps Leaderboard Top Three
Chris Connolly (Norwich Evening News) has kicked clear like Frankel in his 2000 Guineas on the NAPs table after Uncle Dick's tight win at Brighton yesterday with a huge SP of 20/1. His pick as the best bet of the day will surely be popular again today and he's siding with JUAN LES PINS at Chepstow at 17:30, priced up at 8/1 at the time of writing.
The chasing pack now have a job on their hands to catch up, and barring a massive drift or a huge priced winner from someone down the table, we won't see a new leader today whatever happens. InsideTraxs.co.uk remain in second and their best bet runs at Chelmsford at 15:00 - REDDITIZIO. At the time of publication he's a best price of 4/1 with bet365.
The Mulldog Steve Mullington is in third still and is siding with an outsider at double figure odds from Leopardstown in the 19:53, MEDIEVAL KNIGHT. At 13/1 at the time of writing, if his best bet wins he will leap up to second place but still won't catch Connolly.
-
Chris Connolly – Juan Les Pins – 17:30 Chepstow – 8/1 – P&L: +£41.38
-
InsideTraxs.co.uk – Redditizio – 15:00 Chelmsford – 4/1 – P&L: +£17.78
-

While these top three attract plenty of attention, it’s likely another name could steal the spotlight depending on results later today.

- Premier Raceday numbers slashed - Next season there will be 52 Premier racedays, in comparison to 162 this campaign. The scheme has been criticised as overegging the importance of certain meetings and so the aim of the cull is better highlighting the biggest fixtures in the calendar.
- Noel Meade To Appeal Galway Hurdle Result - Helvic Dream was first past the post in last week's Galway Hurdle, but was demoted from first place and the race was handed to Gordon Elliott's second finisher Ndaawi. Noel Meade, trainer of Helvic Dream, confirmed yesterday he'd be appealing the stewards' decision that the interference cost the second the race.
