ITV Racing Tips: Check out Saturday's best bets from Newbury and Newcastle

There's a stellar day's racing in front of the ITV cameras on Saturday as both the Coral Gold Cup from Newbury and the return of Constitution Hill in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle will light up the day, and our man Steve Chambers has his best bets for the action here...

13:55 Newbury - Coral Racing Club Handicap Hurdle

It could prove to be a hugely successful day for Nicky Henderson, as not only will he unleash Champion Hurdle favourite Constitution Hill and former Champion Hurdle heroine Epatante in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle, he can have a marquee day at Newbury as can saddle WALKING ON AIR to glory at 13:55.

A hugely impressive 13-length winner on his hurdles debut at Newbury back in January, there had been suggestions that he could be a real top-class novice hurdler last season, but he failed to fire when pulling up in the Grade 1 Mersey Novices' Hurdle at Aintree in April. Not seen after that run, he's back on the track in handicap company and he could well make a mockery of his mark of 132, if he's as good as first thought.

He will be taken on a host of more battle-hardened rivals here, but having sparkled on his last visit to the Berkshire track he can blossom once again and use this as a potential stepping stone back into Graded company later in the campaign.

15:05 Newbury - Coral Gold Cup Handicap Chase

There's no doubting the toughest punting puzzle of the day is the Coral Gold Cup at 15:05 which sees the likes of Corach Rambler, Threeunderthrufive and last year's runner-up Fiddlerontheroof all sitting prominently in the betting and all three stand a great chance in a cracking betting heat.

David Pipe's Remastered was going like the winner last year when storming to the front in the home straight - only to fall in the closing stages - and he will be back for another crack, but one at a huge price that could play a shock role is the Joe Tizzard-trained 25/1 shot LOSTINTRANSLATION, who looks extremely well handicapped, if back to anything like his best.

A former Grade 1 winner of the Betfair Chase, the ten-year-old has been struggling for form in recent times, but showed last season on his comeback run when winning the Grade 2 1965 Chase that he does have some quality still under the bonnet, but he's found it tough since. However, he's plummeted down the ratings and the once 169-rated chaser lines up in this off 150 and with Freddie Gingell taking another 7lbs off then he has to be a lively each-way player, if on a going day. The distance could stretch him, but at the odds he has to be on the shortlist in such a wide open event.

15:25 Newcastle - Betfair Exchange Rehearsal Handicap Chase

Yet again it's refreshing to see a top quality Graded performer carrying top weight in a handicap, as the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase winner L'Homme Presse makes his seasonal reappearance for Venetia Williams in the 15:25 at Newcastle, and he will attempt to enhance his Cheltenham Gold Cup claims with a win.

Having bypassed Ascot last weekend, the Williams charge is a red-hot short-priced favourite for this task and is the most likely winner, but he will have to give heaps of weight away to many of his rivals and he's sure to improve for the run, so take a chance on the bottom-weighted INTO OVERDRIVE, who is around the 4/1 mark, at the time of writing.

Not in the same stratosphere at the moment, but the hugely progressive seven-year-old is rocketing up the handicap and was last seen bounding to victory at Wetherby off a mark of 132 and he's 6lbs higher on Saturday. He gets a whopping 26lbs from the 5/4 jolly L'Homme Presse, so Into Overdrive, who heads into the race match fit, has a lot going for him and he can continue his progression with a fifth win on the bounce here.
