A smart bumper horse that recorded two wins from her three Flat starts, Snow Leopardess also recorded some decent wins over hurdles, with the highlight being the Grade 2 victory in the EBF & TBA Mares' "National Hunt" Novices' Hurdle Finale at Newbury in March 2017.

However, the gorgeous grey was always destined for a career over fences, and the ten-year-old mare has raced nine times over the larger obstacles and been victorious on four occasions. One win from six starts over fences during her novice campaign, Snow Leopardess' sole victory came at Haydock in November 2020, where she beat the classy Venetia Williams-trained raider Commodore.

Despite getting her head in front only once, she ran some huge races in defeat and following that Haydock victory she was a gallant runner-up in the Rowland Meyrick a month later, where was beaten half-a-length by Canelo. Sent to the 2021 Cheltenham Festival, Snow Leopardess lined up in the National Hunt Chase, but she was only able to finish a decent fourth behind Galvin.

With another summer on her back, she has really blossomed over fences this season, as having kicked off her campaign on a winning note with victory in a Bangor handicap chase, she then went on to Aintree to bound to glory in the Becher Chase. Showing she can excel over the National fences at the Merseyside track, Snow Leopardess edged out Hill SIxteen by a nose in a thrilling finish.

A facile 12-length winner of a Listed Mares' Chase at Exeter in February, Snow Leopardess has now racked up three wins on the bounce, and she will now head to Aintree looking to make it four on the spin, and in the form of her life she has to be considered a huge player.
