Temple Stakes Runners: Australian mare Asfoora amongst field of 10

The Group 2 Temple Stakes takes place at Haydock Park on Saturday and ten horses have been declared. Here we take a look at the runners, riders, odds and favourites for this battle of the sprinters...
After a deluge of rain on Wednesday, Haydock report the going to have changed to soft but don't see any issues with Saturday's card featuring the Temple Stakes and Sandy Lane Stakes going ahead.
Racing fans on opposite sides of the world will be intrigued by the entry of Australian mare Asfoora in the Temple Stakes. Trained by Henry Dwyer in Victoria, she has been boarding at the Amy Murphy yard ahead of a British summer campaign targeting Royal Ascot, Glorious Goodwood and the Nunthorpe at York. She's currently priced at 4/1 to win on Saturday under regular jockey Mitchell Aitken.
The highest rated in the field is Live In The Dream for Adam West. After winning the Nunthorpe last season, he ran crediably in big races at Keeneland and on Breeders Cup night at Santa Anita. The 7/2 chance will be ridden by Sean Kirrane.
Vadream has been a market mover since the rain arrived. The Charlie Fellowes-trained six year old won a Newmarket Group 3 on soft ground and has been backed into 7/2 for Saturday's race where Danny Tudhope will take the ride.
Rogue Lightning, a £1 million purchase at the Ascot Champions Day Sale, complete the market leaders priced at 9/2. Jame Doyle will partner the horse for the first time on Saturday.
