The King Charles III Stakes - is a Group One race run on the opening day of Royal Ascot and attracts all the leading sprinters bidding for glory in the five furlong contest.
Inaugurated in 1860, the formerly named King's Stand Stakes is run on the straight course at Royal Ascot, and having become part of the Global Sprint Challenge is a race targeted by all the star trainers in the UK, Ireland and rest of the world.
