About the Queen Mary Stakes
The Queen Mary Stakes is a feature Grade 2 race run over five furlongs and takes place on day two of Royal Ascot in June.
The traditional curtain-raiser to day 2 at Royal Ascot, the Queen Mary Stakes was first run in 1921 and now attracts some of the most precocious juvenile fillies from across the globe. The blink-and-you'll-miss-it contest has been won by some of the speediest two-year-olds throughout history and is sure once again to attract a stellar field for the 2023 showpiece.
In 2022 the race was won by Karl Burke's favourite Dramatised, who swept to the front impressively under Danny Tudhope. The filly was strong all week in the market and was sent off at an SP of 5/2.
