About Cheltenham Festival Friday: Day 4
The final day of the Cheltenham Festival builds towards the most prestigious race in National Hunt racing. Gold Cup Day is synonymous with drama, emotion and history in the making, as the sport’s very best line up for the ultimate prize.
Gates open at 10:30am, with the first race underway at 13:20. Excitement steadily builds throughout the afternoon as racegoers anticipate the feature event at 16:00, the blue riband of jump racing.
Race 1 - Triumph Hurdle
The championship race for juvenile hurdlers, run over 2 miles 1 furlong on the New Course. This Grade 1 contest often highlights future stars of the sport, with many winners going on to enjoy distinguished careers.
Race 2 - County Handicap Hurdle
