Betmaze Review
Betmaze are run by Aspire Global, who have enjoyed plenty of success over the years managing such sites as Karamba, Bet Target and Betiton so they certainly know what they’re doing when it comes to providing sports betting customers with what they need. Let’s quickly look at some of the pros and cons of the site.
Betmaze Pros & Cons
Positives
- Betting offered on every sport you can think of.
- Huge selection of pre-match and live betting markets.
- The Bet Builder product is good.
- Cash Out works well with Betmaze making you fair offers.
Negatives
- Cricket product very limited in terms of choice of markets.
- No live streaming for tennis or football.
Betmaze Key Features: Why Should You Sign Up?
As you know, there are lots of Sportsbooks out there so there needs to be something about each one that makes it worth your while to sign up with that particular one. Here are some of Betmaze’s best features.
Boosted Odds and Early Payout Offers
Other sites will have more and more varied offers but the two ongoing ones here are good ones. Firstly, you’ll get paid out on certain football bets if the team you backed goes two goals up (even if they don’t end up winning) and secondly, you can take advantage of Boosted Odds on certain selections; so it pays to look out for these selections at enhanced odds because it all adds up over time.
Huge choice of sports
The day I checked, Betmaze were offering betting on over 50 different sports, from the mainstream ones like football, tennis and horse racing to far more niche ones like water polo, gaelic hurling and badminton. It’s also particularly good for eSports, so if you’re a fan of those, you can look forward to betting on six or seven different games, with plenty of live betting on offer for them as well.
Wide and balanced choice of payment options
Here at Betmaze, all of these payment options are available: Visa, Apple Pay, Mastercard, Trustly, Muchbetter, Skrill and Paysafecard. We’ll have to wait and see if they add the likes of Google Pay or cryptocurrencies to the list of accepted payment options in the future. But what they already have gives customers plenty of options when it comes to choosing a method that suits their needs.
Though withdrawals by Visa and bank transfers can take up to six days, which is quite a lot, withdrawals made via Trustly, Trustly Pay N play and Instant banking can see your money being with you on the same day. So in that sense, they’re a fast withdrawal site.
On Which Sports Can You Apply the Betmaze Welcome Offer?
You can use your free bet on any sport other than horse racing. As we’ve already said, there are over 50 different sports available here so if cycling, volleyball or pesapallo are more your thing than golf or greyhound racing, then you can certainly use your free bet on those, too.
Though you can also use your Betmaze free bet on accas or Bet Builders, most customers will probably just want to use it on a single. If so, here are some of the betting markets you can use it on.
Handicaps
Handicaps were developed to make each and every sporting contest in the likes of football, tennis, American football or basketball a 50/50 affair by applying a handicap: giving the outsider an artificial head-start of x points, sets or goals. It’s then up to you to decide whether you’d rather side with the favourite to overcome the handicap, or the outsider to stay within the handicap.
Over/Under Goals/Points
This market is often similar to a handicap market in that it also tends to have both options very close to evens (2.0). For example, in most football matches, it’s pretty much ‘evens’ as to whether there will be more, or less, than 2.5 goals. In an NBA match it might be 2.1 plays 1.85 in terms of whether there will be more or less than 220.5 points in the match. So it’s a nice and easy market to play because it’s almost a coin toss and doesn’t require too much analysis of odds, so is perfect for the beginner or novice gambler.
First Goalscorer/To score
This is mostly a football market, though it also exists for the likes of rugby and ice hockey.
If you want to take the slightly more conservative approach, you can back a player to score a goal at any time in the match, with the added bonus that ‘player to score’ markets are one of the ones that are often boosted in terms of the odds.
If you want to take a more adventurous approach, you can try to pick the player who will score the first goal of the match. Because this is pretty hard to do, the odds on a first goalscorer bet tend to be about three times bigger than they are on the ‘to score anytime’ market.
Is there a Betmaze Mobile App?
No. This is quite rare for an online bookmaker these days because most go down the route of having their own app but it’s not necessarily a big deal. Like most sites that don’t have their own app, using the mobile browser does the equivalent job of the app, allowing you to bet on-the-go, deposit, claim bonuses and do all the other things you’d do from your laptop, or on the app, if they had one.
Betmaze Responsible Gambling Features
As is the case with all the best bookmakers, Betmaze are very serious about responsible gambling.
Their dedicated page to Responsible Gambling includes:
- A self-assessment test to see whether you may have a gambling problem.
- Links to Gamblers Anonymous, GAM Stop and other charities that can help you if you feel you have a gambling problem.
- A link to the BetBlocker software and details of how to use it to protect both yourself and minors from accessing betting websites.
The page also provides valuable info about the following responsible gambling tools you can use- most of them accessed via ‘My Account’- which do the following:
- Play and Deposit Limits- Set a limit on how much you’re prepared to lose in a day and once that limit has been reached, you won’t be able to play anymore.
- Time Out and self-exclusion- If you feel you want to take a break from gambling, you can choose to do so for a period of a) 24 hours b) 1 week c) 1 month or d) 6 weeks. During this time, you won’t be able to access your account, including not being able to deposit or place any bets. If you decide that you want to stop gambling for good, you can choose to self-exclude permanently. Where this is the case, any funds in your account will be returned to you when the self-exclusion period begins.
- Time Limits- Here you choose a particular time period you want to play for every day and once you’ve reached it, you won’t be allowed to play anymore that day.
Please note that in some cases, you’ll need to contact Customer Service directly (see below) to request a time out or self-exclusion, rather than doing so via ‘My Account’.
Betmaze Customer Service
Betmaze do have a good set of FAQs that answer many of the queries you might have about such things as account verification, bonuses, self-exclusion, depositing and withdrawing and all manner of other things relating to your account.
However, at the moment, they have neither a phone line, Live Chat or email, which also isn’t particularly helpful. Instead, they have an online form you can fill in with your query and they’ll get back to you- if necessary by phoning you - to sort it. But Customer Service is certainly an area they’ll need to improve on because a 24/7 Live Chat is the bare minimum these days.
Our Experience Using Betmaze
We should point out that BetMaze have only been around for a few months, so as with all new betting sites, it’s virtually impossible to get everything right from the very beginning or have all the features that sites that have been around for 20 years boast.
The Betmaze sign-up offer is a fair one, offering decent value and being easy to claim but it’s a little unnecessary to restrict so many payment methods in terms of you not getting the Betmaze free bet if you use one of them for your first deposit. And speaking of offers, though they currently have two that could both make a significant difference to your bank balance, they could certainly do with having more.
What really impressed me above all was the sheer number of sports (50+) and betting markets within those sports available but that shouldn’t come as a big surprise because the brand is operated by Aspire Global who run numerous other sites, so have the tools and the odds already in place to do so.
While I was trying out the site, I mostly placed bets on football and tennis, my two favourite sports, and found Bet Builders were easy to place and their Cash Out product was simple and easy to use. As stated already, their greyhounds (including live streaming) and eSports products are particularly good, so fans of those sports will be impressed.
In terms of other areas for improvement, they could do with having more live streaming, more options to get in touch with Customer Service and improving their offering on cricket, which at the moment is a bit limited for such a popular sport.
But they’ve certainly made a very solid start for a company that only launched in 2025.
