What is the Vincent O'Brien National Stakes?
The Vincent O'Brien National Stakes is a seven furlong race open to two year old colts and fillies raced every September at the Curragh. The race was first run in 1849, and it was originally called the National Produce Stakes then the National Stakes. The inaugural running was won by Chatterbox.
What happened in the 2023 National Stakes?
Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore combined to win the 2023 National Stakes with Henry Longfellow, who appreciated the slightly yielding ground and won in good style.
