Horse Racing Tips: Snowden And Sheehan Combine For Most Popular Nap

Wetherby and Fontwell have sadly been cancelled today due to the weather, but nevertheless a fun filled Friday awaits with Musselburgh's valuable evening card the headline attraction. Here we take a look at some of the Naps, stats and racing news relating to today's racing...

Follow The Leaders
With Fontwell being abandoned, West Country's pick as the Nap of the day is now a non-runner at the abandoned meeting. This could mean On The Nose in second takes top spot by the close of play, and their best bet is a decent price in the 16:05 at Lingfield - SHOCKWAVES.
Hughie Morrison's charge will be ridden with David Probert and despite the competitive nature of the race, he looks to have a good chance of winning here if back to his C&D win from last May. The trouble is, after that the grey did not hit the same heights and has now had seven months off following a race in which he finished last and bled at Windsor.
Across the Irish Sea at Wexford, in the 19:20, FOX LE BEL is the Nap choice of third placed Naps entrant Brian Flanagan. Closing out the card is this handicap chase and although Fox Le Bel is still a maiden following 29 starts, it could be a case of thirtieth time lucky as in recent starts Liz Doyle's nine year old has been running better than ever. This culminated in a third placed finish last time out and after a 76 day break, he could well be firing on all cylinders.
- West Country - ABD - P&L: £11.02
- On The Nose - Shockwaves - 16:05 Lingfield - P&L: £9.21
- Brian Flanagan - Fox Le Bel - 19:20 Wexford - P&L: £4.69
Friday's Most Popular Naps
Only one horse has been selected by multiple Naps entrants as the best bet today, in the juvenile hurdle at 17:40 at Musselburgh. GOLDEN MAVERICK represents Jamie Snowden and has Gavin Sheehan booked and is one of today's strongest market movers, with plenty of people clearly fancying the horse's chances just like the four experts.
In his previous career on the flat with Ian Williams he notched up five wins and after two good efforts on hurdle debut and second start, he finally notched a first win over obstacles last time out at Haydock last month. The handicapper looks to have been lenient with this one's mark and although there could be plenty of unexposed improvers in here, he looks the most likely winner.
How About Stat?
Best in the world Ryan Moore is back at Dundalk tonight and he boasts a mean strike-rate at the track recently. His seven wins from eleven rides there this season means he is by far and away the top course jockey riding today and, as can be expected, he has some belting chances for Ballydoyle tonight.
