Lingfield Major Races
The tips, betting odds, racecards and results from Lingfield racecourse, including archived race results from previous meetings.
The racecourse in the small village of Lingfield in Surrey is best known for meetings that are held on its all-weather course. However, Lingfield does in fact boast three courses, there is the all-weather track that is used for flat racing and a left-handed turf course that is used for both flat racing and national hunt races.
The ground of the left-handed all-weather course is a Polytrack surface which is meant to be faster than the fibresand course that is in place at Southwell racecourse and has been rated as one of the finest all-weather courses in the country.
The key racing highlights here are the Derby and Oaks Trial days which are held annually in May. These trials are a good pointer for Epson as the home straight being similar to Tattenham Corner. In December there is the national hunt races December Novices' Chase and the Summit Junior Hurdle which are both raced on the same day.
On the turf there is a draw stall advantage in sprints for horses that are drawn in the high numbers. For the all-weather track it is best to keep away from any horses drawn higher than seven.
