Horse Racing Tips: Double Figure Priced Horse One Of Day's Most Napped

The Craven Stakes takes centre stage today at Newmarket, but there is also a wonderful card at Cheltenham to enjoy for racing fans of both codes. Here we take a look at some of the Naps of the day, a racing statistic and round-up the news from yesterday...

Thursdays Most Popular Naps and Naps Table Leaders
A trio of horses have been selected by three or more experts today, but by far the most interesting at the time of writing is CHIEF MANKATO at Newmarket in the 13:50. Billy Loughnane takes the ride for Charlie Hills and the horse is as big as 16/1 in places, so if he wins the three experts with him as the best bet will rocket up the table.
At the top of the table West Country found another winner yesterday with the well backed In Excelsis Deo romping home at Cheltenham. He is still in a commanding lead, although On The Nose also had a winner in second. West Country's Nap for today is ANNO POWER in the 17:00 at Cheltenham, who is one of the strongest market movers of the day for Johnny Burke and Harry Fry.
Still only five, she has plenty of improvement in her and the application of the hood last time out seemed to do the trick. She looks the one to beat. On The Nose is off to Newmarket for his best bet, in the 13:50 siding with NORTH VIEW. This is one of the most competitive races of the day, with North View being favourite at 7/1. but the Expert Eye colt did look progressive last season and can go well on handicap debut with Luke Morris riding.
- West Country - Anno Power - 17:00 Cheltenham - P&L: £21.88
- On The Nose - North View - 13:50 Newmarket - P&L: £4.71
- Brian Flanagan - Go Gill Go - 17:45 Clonmel - P&L: £-3.46

Racing News Round-Up
- Paddy Brennan Retires - Decorated jumps jockey Paddy Brennan retired after riding a winner at Cheltenham yesterday. What a career he's had!
- Shishkin and Jonbon off for 'away game' - Nicky Henderson has confirmed his star chaser Shishkin will definitely head to Punchestown after running a fine race at Aintree and missing Cheltenham. It is an uncharacteristic - but very welcome - move by the cautious trainer.
- El Fabiolo Coming To Sandown - As Willie Mullins' chase of the British Champion Trainers' title intensifies, he is set to send El Fabiolo to Sandown on the hunt for more British plunder. He will be tough to beat attempting to bounce back from his Champion Chase no-show.
