Horse Racing Tips: Smith and Schofield combine for most popular Nap

There is no Irish racing today, with just three British tracks hosting action. Catterick, Leicester and Southwell is where most will be getting their racing fix today, on a day when social media will be dominated by the Cheltenham handicap weights reveal...

Follow The Leaders
It was a low-key Monday for the leading trio in the Naps table yesterday. with no wins and no movement in the table. Spotlight are still top of the tree and wait for the 19:00 at Southwell for their best bet, with DAAFY fancied to give them a winner. He has won over this course and distance four times in his career and it could well have been five on his last outing here, when he flew home for second after a slow start probably cost him his winning chance. That was 40 days ago so if the break has done him good he should be bang there come the finish.
In just a three runner contest at Leicester, West Country have sided with the odds-on favourite in the 14:35 with HATOS. The gelding is hat-trick hunting here after winning handicaps at Ffos Las and Wincanton in the last month, and he looks the clear form choice in this race against limited opposition. Finally, The Punt have picked out PRAIRIE WOLF at Catterick as the best bet of the day. In the 14:50 contest, Sue Smith's charge is popular in the table but The Punt is the most profitable tipster to side with the seven year old. He ran very well indeed for fourth at Cheltenham last time out in a race much stronger than this, and off an unchanged mark he will be there or thereabouts if his jumping holds up.
- Spotlight - Daafy - 19:00 Southwell - P&L: £13.38
- West Country - Hatos - 14:35 Leicester - P&L: £7.99
- The Punt - Prairie Wolf - 14:50 Catterick - P&L: £5.97
Tuesday's Most Napped Horses
PRAIRE WOLF is the most popular Nap on Tuesday, with six experts including The Punt fancying his chances of glory. His Cheltenham form from last time out is rock solid and with an unchanged mark for this contest, he can surely go close to victory. He has looked a better chaser than hurdler and we can expect his price to tumble as race time draws closer.
Another horse with plenty of support, five Naps to be precise is MAJED in the 18:00 at Southwell. He runs for the Gosden team and it is interesting to see the cheekpieces applied for the first time to this well bred sort, With the headgear and step up in trip for his handicap debut, he should go close and it would be no surprise to see a massive upturn in form. The final race of the day is the 20:30 at Southwell and brings a horse with four Nap votes in IGNAC LAMAR. He is a C&D winner but has been running in snatches of late, showing signs of life when third last time out at Wolverhampton but still not looking at his best. He is, however, on a very attractive mark in a race like this and could make his presence felt.

- Gordon Elliott Bullish on Teahupoo - Despite the presence of owner and stablemate Irish Point in the race, Gordon Elliott has insisted he'll be shocked if his main jockey Jack Kennedy ditches TEAHUPOO in the Stayers' Hurdle.
