ITV Racing Tips: RaceOlly's six selections from Haydock and Sandown of Saturday
1.50 Sandown - Tippy Toes
I’ve decided to go two handed in this as I couldn’t not back the other.
Tippy Toes is my first pick who is still a maiden on the turf despite finishing second three times but was very well fancied last time at Royal Ascot, but didn’t get any luck at all and done extremely well to get within four lengths at the end and certainly went in to many a notebook after.
Three year olds have won 10 of the last 17 runnings and the booking of Silvestre De Sousa is worth a look at Sandown races where he has a 24% win rate.
Tippy Toes is best price 15/2 with William Hill paying four places.
1.50 Sandown - Existent
The second selection is Existent whose trainer has found his form again lately with two winners and two places from his last six runners and the horse is dropping in class for this.
He found himself going a very close second at this level at Newmarket when beaten a neck in the Palace House and wasn’t totally disgraced last time in a Group 1 at Royal Ascot.
He pulls hard in his races and is usually held up but has raced prominently and the lack of a strong pace in this means he will likely pull himself close to the pace and finds plenty for pressure when asked so tactically this could be ideal.
Existent can be backed at 11/1 with William Hill paying each-way down to four places.
2.05 Haydock - Ochil House
Ochil House is the classic handicap plot having looked a stayer in novice races and now gets upped to 1m 6f and with the tongue tie added to help breathing now given a mark of 73.
The trainer is having a fine season having won with 20% of his runners and the booking of Ray Dawson is eye catching only having ridden for the yard twice before, but he has a good record in handicaps this year winning on 20% of his rides and a profit of £35 if backing them all with a £1 win stake.
Ochil House is best price 25/1 with Paddy Power paying each-way four places, or William Hill pay the extra place the first five home at 22/1.
2.25 Sandown - Lion Tower
Lion Tower has become a consistent and a solid performer who won for the seventh time last time out at York and form over this trip is solid with form figures of 521132532, several of those in big field handicaps.
The rating of 93 looks unlikely to stop the improvement and 12 of the last 20 winners were rated in the 90s.
Trainer Grant Tuer makes the over 500 miles round journey here to Sandown for the first time and comes here with just this one horse, he’s had five winners from his 26 runners over the last two weeks.
Paddy Power are best price 7/1 paying four places.

3.00 Sandown - Queen Aminatu
This is a very good race and if not for the penalty I would have gone Oscula. She could still win for sure but it’s a tough task with plenty of others getting weight who has potential to improve a bundle.
Queen Aminatu is my selection for a trainer who’s won this twice in the last three years and this years runner has won twice snuggly on the all weather before being very unlucky not to win on turf debut last time when hampered and going down by the narrowest of margins when sent off 5/4 fav.
William Haggas has a 24% win rate at Sandown and has a good record at listed level this year having won nine from 22 runners, a 41% win rate.
William Hill are best price 12/1 paying four places.
3.15 Haydock - Love Is Golden
Mark Johnson has a great record in this having won three of the last nine runnings and first time headgear for Love Is Golden could eke out more improvement here.
Just two pounds above his last win mark and placed off higher marks since for which his huge price here looks crazy.
Sent off favourite on both last starts and step back up in trip is ideal having won over this on last two wins.
Another with an interesting jockey booking here with JF Egan having his fourth ride for the yard looking to build on his 33% win rate.
William Hill go 33/1 paying six places.
