Today's Horse Racing Tips: Three bets for Southwell on Tuesday

It is the start of an exciting new era at Southwell today as the first meeting on Tapeta takes place. The course has been rewarded with plenty of declarations for their valuable eight-race card, and many of the top stables are represented.
I have picked out three bets.
Southwell Tips
16:30 – 5f #betyourway At Betway Handicap (Class 3)
The drop back to the minimum trip can result in a third career success for the lightly-raced FERNANDO RAH (1 point win bet at 5/1). This Clive Cox-trained sprinter has recorded form figures of 312 when racing over five furlongs and was far from disgraced in his two runs over six furlongs in September and October. He has been freshened up for this and looks well capable of defying a mark of 89 with further improvement likely. He is proven on Tapeta and should make a bold bid from the front.
Connections of MULZIM (0.5 point win bet at 16/1) will be hoping that the switch from Fibresand to Tapeta won’t prevent their seven-year-old sprinter from adding to his impressive tally of six course and distance victories (including his last three visits here). In fact, he shouldn’t have a problem given that he won on Tapeta at Wolverhampton back in 2017. A fine second on turf at York in May, he recently returned to action after a 154-day break. He was well beaten at Nottingham that day but it should have put him spot on for this assignment, and it’d be no surprise to see him outrun his odds under regular jockey Daniel Muscutt.

The top weight VIRGIN SNOW (NAP – 1 point win bet at 6/1) is taken to outclass her rivals and make a winning return to action after over a year off the track. This beautifully bred daughter of the dual Guineas winner Gleneagles is the second foal out of the Champion mare Snow Fairy. Third in a Newmarket Group 3 contest when last seen, she now drops back into a handicap off a mark of just 98. Jim Crowley was on board at Newmarket and he travels to Southwell for just this one ride today. The 1m3f distance won’t be an issue and she finished second on her only previous try on Tapeta (at Newcastle). She proved she can run well fresh by winning on her 2020 seasonal reappearance and another big run is expected.
