Royal Ascot Wednesday
The second day of Royal Ascot traditionally takes place on a Wednesday, and is headlined by the Group 1 Prince of Wales's Stakes. The top level contest over a mile and a quarter features some of the best middle distance performers in training, and the most recent renewal was won by Crystal Ocean (2019). Meanwhile, the main supporting race is the hugely competitive betting heat that is the Royal Hunt Cup.

Royal Ascot Wednesday Racecards
With a new-look Royal Ascot schedule forcing the organiser's hands to switch races around, day two will kick off in uncharacteristic fashion with the Silver Royal Hunt Cup opening up the action on Wednesday afternoon. Following on from that cavalry charge, the Hampton Court Stakes will be the second race on the card, while the King George V Stakes will sit third on the schedule.
The feature race of the day comes in race four as some of the premier middle distance horses in training do battle in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes, which is the most valuable prize at Royal Ascot, and it's a race that will attract some red-hot performers attempting to etch their name into an illustrious roll of honour.
There's more devilishly difficult punting conundrums later in the day on Wednesday, as the Royal Hunt Cup will see a bumper field of top notch mile handicappers line up, while the penultimate race on day two of Royal Ascot 2020 will see the juveniles do battle in the Windsor Castle Stakes. Concluding the day's racing will be the Copper Horse Handicap, which is a new contest added to a bumper festival of Flat racing at Royal Ascot, which will be run behind closed doors this season.
