About The Acomb Stakes
The Acomb Stakes is a Group 3 race open to two-year-olds and is run over a trip of seven furlongs. Taking place at York's Ebor Festival, the Acomb Stakes can often be a key trial for the following season's 2000 Guineas and 1000 Guineas and some of the top juveniles will fight it out for glory in this event on the Knavesmire.
King's Best and Chaldean are two of the biggest names in recent times to taste victory in the Acomb Stakes before going on to bigger and better things by winning the 2000 Guineas, so it's always a key race to take note of on the juvenile calendar.
Eve Johnson Houghton's Indian Run was a gutsy winner of the Acomb Stakes in 2023 as the 17/2 chance got the better of Ballymount Boy.
