• Each-Way – Half your money is the horse to win, the other half on the horse to place. If the horse wins, you’ll be paid out on both parts of the bet. If it places, you’ll only be paid out on that part of the bet. 
• Top Finish – Whether the Horse will finish Top 2, 3 or 4 (depending on the number of runners); it doesn’t matter which specific position it finishes in as long as it’s within that predetermined position.
• Forecast – Pick two horses to finish in the Top 2 in any order, or the specific order for even bigger payouts.

• Exacta – Similar to the Tricast but a little easier is the "Exacta". With the exacta you're picking which horses will finish in first and second. In this case, the order isn't important, just the horses.
• Quinella – The "Quinella" is nearly identical to the Exacta except that it has a smaller payout.
• Swinger – With the "Swinger" you're going to pick 2 of the horses that finish in the top 3. The order isn't important.
• Superfecta – You'll typically only see experienced punters try their hand at the "Superfecta". That's because it requires you to select the top 4 ponies in the correct order of finish.
• Placepot – With a "Placepot" you'll be betting on who will place in the first 6 races of the day.
