About Cheltenham Festival Day 4
The final day of the Cheltenham Festival kicks off with the Grade 1 Triumph Hurdle at 13:20 for four-year-olds, the contest has produced several stars of the future, including Zarkandar (2011) and the dual Grand National winner Tiger Roll (2014).
Second up is a big betting race - the County Hurdle regularly produces big-priced winners for this two-mile handicap contest.
The third race of the day is the Mares' Chase, which is still a relatively new race on the 28-strong card.
The second Grade 1 contest of the afternoon comes as the starter before the Gold Cup, the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle is for staying novice hurdlers and has produced several smart staying chasers.
The pinnacle of the sport, the Cheltenham Gold Cup is the feature race of the entire Festival, and one of the few racing events which hits the sporting mainstream.
Known as the 'amateur Gold Cup', the Festival Hunters' Chase is run over the same trip as the Cheltenham showpiece and is exclusively for amateur riders.
The action concludes with a fiercely competitive Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle at 17:20.
