About the Molecomb Stakes
The Molecomb Stakes is a Group 3 race run at Glorious Goodwood and is a 5f event open to two-year-old horses
First held back in the 1800s, the Molecomb Stakes has been one of the most exciting races on the Glorious Goodwood for decades and has always attracted some of the premier two-year-old sprinters in training that will look to use the race as a springboard to bigger sprinting assignments later in their career. You can often see the winner linked with the Nunthorpe Stakes at York's Ebor Festival a few weeks after Goodwood.
Mick Appleby's Big Evs was a narrow winner of the 2023 Molecomb Stakes.
