Horse Racing Tips: Most Napped Horse Backed To Take Off

A quiet day of racing awaits to kick off the week, with just three meetings taking place and only two being afternoon cards. Lingfield host an afternoon of flat racing on the polytrack, while Carlisle host the sole jumps card with no action in Ireland today. Things conclude with Wolverhampton's evening meeting on the all-weather, so without further ado let's get into the tips, stats, Naps and news...

Monday's Most Napped Horses
There are a trio of horses that have been Napped by three experts today, with the first coming at Lingfield in the 14:17. David Simcock and Jamie Spencer combine with FORGE VALLEY LAD and he has won four times over this C&D throughout his career. He is an inconsistent sort but seems to perform best when Spencer is on board so must have a good chance today. HOUSTON TEXAS is no spring chicken at ten and was comprehensively beaten in the Rowland Meyrick last time out, but his assignment in the 16:00 at Carlisle today is much easier. He is the second horse to receive three Nap votes, and the final one is In the next race (the 16:35). BOOSTER BOB is the odds on favourite for success here and looks to have every chance for Olly Murphy. He is three from three over hurdles and now on handicap debut upped in trip, it'll take a good one to stop him.
The most Napped horse of the day with four votes runs against Houston Texas in the 16:00. JET LEGS. Martin Todhunter's gelding has proven himself ground versatile and if he reproduces his good second placed effort at Kelso on heavy last time out, he should probably take the beating here. Templegate is fifth in the Naps table leaderboard and is the most profitable tipster to select the most popular Nap as his best bet of the day.
Follow The Leaders
Spotlight still hold a commanding lead atop the Naps Leaderboard, with over £12 of profit separating them in first from The Punt in second. They are waiting for the final race at Carlisle today to Nap their strongest fancy of the day in PERCULATOR in the handicap hurdle. She won well last time out with cheekpieces on for the first time, and they are retained here so with only a four pound rise for that success, she warrants her place at the head of the market.
The Punt in second will try to make up ground by taking on the most popular Nap of the day Jet Legs in the 16:00 at Carlisle with HOUSTON TEXAS. He is a course specialist here at Carlisle so for those like The Punt willing to forgive his flop in the Rowland Meyrick, he looks the most interesting alternative to Jet Legs in what should be a competitive race. West Country are in third in the leaderboard but have got no best bet so have no chance of launching themselves up the leaderboard.
- Spotlight - Perculator - 17:10 Carlisle - P&L: £19.71
- The Punt - Houston Texas - 16:00 Carlisle - P&L: £7.63
- West Country - NA - NA - P&L: £5.72
How D'Ya Like Stat?
Just one horse is travelling over 300 miles today for their target, the Nicky Alexander trained FEVERTE. Priced up attractively for each-way bettors in the 17:10 race, he could be worth supporting as the team won't be sending him this far just for the day out!
