Horse Racing Tips: Spanish to strike for Haggas at Hamilton

The William Haggas-trained Spanish broke her maiden tag at the fourth time of asking at Kempton Park earlier this month and the daughter of Lope De Vega will atttempt to follow that up this afternoon by claiming victory in the 14:48 event. A red-hot 6/4 favourite for today's event, the three-year-old has proven extremely popular with our racing tipsters as six of them - including the likes of Glendale from The Scotsman and Fortunatus from the Sheffield Star - have napped the Haggas charge to land back-to-back wins.

Spanish maybe the most popular nap amongst our racing tipsters, but another that has caught the eye of three tipsters is the Kevin Ryan-trained Marhaba The Champ, who is a 4/1 chance in the 15:23 at Hamilton. Whistler from the Sunday Telegraph is one of those three tipsters napping the Ryan charge, who put up a career best last time out when second in a Ripon maiden last time out and he's fancied to improve on that effort today.

Lawrence Taylor from At The Races is one of the form tipsters in the naps table as he notched up back-to-back winning naps over the weekend, and he will bid for a hat-trick of winning naps on Monday and heads to Ffos Las this afternoon for his best bet of the day. Siding with the Ed de Giles-trained Chifa in the 14:35 event, Taylor will hope the 100/30 chance can build on a second placed finish at Chepstow last time out and land another victory at the Welsh track - won here in July.

Expert Eye from On The Nose extended his lead at the top of the table on Sunday with a 2/1 winning nap on Sunday to enhance his profit to £51.46. The table-topper heads to Down Royal on Monday for the best bet of the day, and he's backing the 9/4 chance Cavallo Pazzo to land victory in the 13:30 contest. Unplaced on debut at Tipperary, the son of Starspangledbanner will look to improve immeasurably on that effort today as he fluffed the start on his first racecourse start, so will be hoping for a clean break today.

Garry Owen from the Daily Record is still in hot pursuit of Expert Eye at the top of the naps table and with a profit of £40.33 is still in touching distance of the leader and Owen is backing the 5/1 shot Refuge in the 14:13 at Hamilton, while the third placed Lambourn from the Racing Post (£14.73 profit) heads to Ffos Las on Monday and has napped the 3/1 chance King's Gem, who runs in the 15:45 race.

For those punters looking for some big-priced selections today could side with the 33/1 outsider Relentless Sun, who runs in the 16:50 at Newcastle and is the best bet of Andrew Mount from the Racing & Football Outlook, while Jim Goldie's Kraken Power is a 25/1 chance for the 13:05 at Hamilton and has been napped by both Rob Wright from The Times and Rory Paddock from the Jersey Evening Post.
