Horse Racing Tips: Agreement From Leaders In Naps Table

Four tracks host meetings today, Tuesday, as January draws to a close. The action begins with the 12:50 at Limerick and runs until the 20:30 at Southwell. There is a rare quirk in the Naps table today, along with an eye-catching stat and a busy rundown of the news, so without further ado let's get started!
#AD 18+ New customers only. 7 days to place qualifying bet of £10 at 1/1 (2.0) to receive 4 x £10 Free Bets: 1 x £10 football, 1 x £10 horse racing & 2 x £10 Bet Builders. Free Bets cannot be used on e-sports and non UK/IE horse racing. 7 day expiry. Exclusions apply. Stake not returned. T&Cs apply.
Follow The Leaders
It is rare to see the top spot fillers in the Naps table leaderboard agreeing on the best bet of the day, but it is even more rare for the top two to both be on the same 5/1 shot! That is what is happening today as both Spotlight in first and West Country in second - both from the Racing Post - side with LEISSIERES EXPRESS as the Nap. Jeremy Scott's charge has Lorcan Williams in the plate and has been reborn since sent over fences, after looking distinctly average as a hurdler. He showed promise in a couple of placed efforts at Wincanton and Exeter before getting off the mark on heavy ground at the latter course on New Year's Day. He won very snugly that day and a five pound rise on the face of things looks fair, but he is clearly progressive and could have more improvement to come.
The Punt - another Racing Post outlet - are in third place and Nap in the race following Leissieres Express at Chepstow. In the 14:45, Cuthbert Dibble is the favourite for the contest, but The Punt side with the second favourite JAMINSKA, who represents Jane Williams and David Noonan. The mare is still just a five year old and was a winner last campaign in her juvenile year, before a decent enough return after ten months off at Taunton last time out when chasing home a smart pair. This step up in trip now should suit and she looks fairly weighted, so in a tough race she could be worth siding with.
- Spotlight - Leissieres Express - 14:10 Chepstow - P&L: £23.80
- West Country - Leissieres Express - 14:10 Chepstow - P&L: £10.09
- The Punt - Jaminska - 14:45 Chepstow - P&L: £7.87
Tuesday's Most Napped Horses
Just one horse has been voted the best bet of the day by four or more experts, ELIGIBLE for Mick Easterby in the Southwell 18:30. The eight year old veteran has won over this course and distance four times throughout his career, and after a definite career best last time out when winning here he can go back to back in this contest. It will be tougher for Joanna Mason in the plate as the horse has been penalised and will be respected more by the rivals, but Eligible in the form he was last time out merits being the favourite and not as big as 4/1 (his price at the time of writing).
A couple of horses have picked up three votes as the Nap, firstly HASTON CLERMONT who takes on the Naps table leaders pick in the 14:10 at Chepstow. Much like main rival Leissieres Express he has looked a new horse over fences and has won two of his three starts. Clearly progressive for Noel Williams, he rates a massive danger to the rest of the field in what should be one of the most exhilarating races of the day. Finally, there is another runner with three votes and this is actually the Nap of The Punt - in third place - and a couple more experts JAMINSKA. The five year old is a progressive sort and clearly will have more improvement in her, which cannot be said for other members of the field in the 14:45 at Chepstow.
How About Stat?
Just one horse is travelling over 300 miles today in search of glory, and that is SILENT AUCTION for Toby Lawes. The 11/2 priced horse is travelling a total of 318 miles to Newcastle for the 13:15 contest. At least connections will know their fate nice and early!

Racing News Round-Up
- Cobden Not Giving In - Sean Bowen has built up a commanding lead in the Jumps Jockey Championship, but his main rival Harry Cobden is determined to catch him and has confirmed he is focused on racking up the winners to pip Bowen come Sandown at the end of the year. He trails by 14 before racing begins today.
- Gentlemansgame bypasses DRF - Mouse Morris' stable star Gentlemansgame, who was last seen beating Bravemansgame in the Charlie Hall at Wetherby, will miss the DRF and be trained solely for the Cheltenham Gold Cup, connections have announced.
- Seven in Scilly Isles - The Dublin Racing Festival will take centre stage this weekend, but on British soil the Scilly Isles is the main attraction at Sandown and Hermes Allen - beaten behind the monster Il Est Francais last time out - heads a field of seven.
